4/28/09 - Bird Vetch

A few days ago I call this purple flower a purple heather, but after looking for the correct name, I think this pretty purple flower is called "bird vetch."

4/26/09 - Yellow Flower

I don't know the official name of these pretty yellow flowers, but we have lots of them in our field. They are very pretty now, blooming with the purple flowers.

4/25/09 - Tomatoes

Isn't it amazing how these small yellow flowers are the beginning of a tomato? This little green tomato is about 1" across now, but it'll be big and red before long.

4/23/09 - More wild flowers

I wish I could capture the wildflowers as I see them, but I haven't figured it out yet. My hubby has strict instructions to leave the wildflowers alone - no bushhogging!! :)

4/22/09 - Purple Heather

Last week we had red clover, this week it's purple heather. It's so beautiful - I wish I could capture it that way I see it.

4/20/09 - View from the backseat

My view from the backseat of the motorcycle. We had a large group this time - a total of 14 motorcycles. It can be hard to keep them all together through traffic, but on the Natchez Trace we could all stay together and were an impressive site.

4/19/09 - Creek Bank

We stopped at a pretty little creek on the Natchez Trace and this tree and flowers caught my eye. I think I failed miserably as a photographer on this trip. I think my heart wasn't in it. Oh well, maybe next time.

4/13/09 - Thunderstorms

Last night we had thunderstorms and 4 inches of rain in a couple of hours. Today it was pretty, sunny, and breezy, and this afternoon the thunderstorms are building again. I love watching the sky get dark and feel the breeze turn cooler, but not so much the lightning.

4/12/09 - More Red Clover

4/10/09 - Have I mentioned how much I love this lens?

Have I mentioned how much I love the Canon 24-105 lens? I hadn't taken it out in the field for flower shots this spring, so I went out late this afternoon. I only took a few, but I'm so pleased with them. The last photo is soft, but I still like it.

It was fairly breezy out, so I was surprised when I downloaded the photos and got better shots than expected.

4/9/09 - Dragon Fly Lamp

This is the lamp on my desk - I bought it several years ago, and I still love it.

4/8/09 - Azaleas, a bee, and a frog

Our azalea blooms are almost gone. This is my last bush to bloom.

It was breezy this afternoon, so it was hard to get a good sharp shot.

Bees are really hard to shoot. LOL This guy was shy too.

I found this not-so-handsome guy on my golf cart, enjoying the sunshine.
He didn't mind the photos at all.

4/4/09 - Morning sunlight in B&W

I took some early morning shots as the sun was coming over the trees. Wasn't too pleased with them so I converted to b&w and played around a bit.

4/3/09 - Oak Tree

Our oak tree is now providing some nice shade.

4/1/09 -Blackberry

I got my Blackberry last week and I'm having so much fun with it. It's amazing all the stuff I can do with it. It's a very smart phone. LOL
